How To Request Traffic Calming Measures

Resident Submits Request

Our office receives a request from a resident, group of residents or community organization to initiate traffic calming request.

Feasibility Is Determined

With information and support from Transportation Staff, feasibility of installing traffic calming measures is assessed.

Support Is Gauged

Our office works collaboratively with residents to survey residents along the route to gauge support and interest. Surveys are online and will run for 30 days.

Transportation Study Is Conducted

If the results from the survey indicate that the majority of residents on the street are in favour of traffic calming, our office will send the request to Transportation Services.

Community Council + City Council Votes

If approved at Etobicoke Community Council, the item is then voted on by all of City Council at the next City Council meeting.
