Apr 13 Mimico Creek Clean-up

Sunday, April 13, 10am, starting at the end of Orchard Cres

Hosted by the Thompson Orchard Community Association

Despite the stubbornly wintry weather we’ve been getting, believe it or not Spring WILL still come this year! As we look ahead to the warmer days, it’s time to spend some time caring for our beautiful creek system that runs through our neighbourhood. That’s right - it’s time for our annual spring Mimico Creek Clean Up! Once again, our clean-up will feature refreshments generously provided by our local Tim Hortons! Bags will be supplied by TOCA. Please bring your own gloves. Waterproof footwear is recommended for venturing into the creek! (That’s where the most interesting trash can be found! Plus a few golf balls if you’re lucky!). Attention high school students (and parents) - participation in the Creek Clean-Up can contribute to your required volunteer hours! Please bring your forms, and your friends too! This is one of our community’s longest-held traditions, so come on out and do your part in keeping our neighbourhood beautiful and green!
